| In February 2008, when the snow hit Toronto and Montreal, it was a perfect time to "set sails and head down to the Caribbean". With Canadian Sailing Expedition we had the perfect organizers for an outstanding sailing event. Thanks to Joel (the chef), Jan-Jan (the cook), Jennifer and Tania (the ladies who organized the sight-seeing, the ladies who made sure that there were some peanuts around, the ladies who made sure that we are not running out of rum and beer, the ladies who always had a smile on their face, the ladies with the nicest and warmest "sorry - but we are not going there" :-), John the captain, Francis the 1st officer (and the man who wrote the worlds-encyclopedia), Mike the 2nd officer, Pip and Pippa (the ladies who love being up in the sails), James, Bruno, Oliver & Oliver, John and Keith who all made this sailing so wonderful. Thanks to Claudia who not only shot great pictures but also made my trip more valueable, to Ed who made the best pictures under the water (see the pictures below), to Larry (soooorrrrrry! but there is no chocolate chip cookies and besides we are not going there!) to Sherry, Pauline, Mike, Wendy, Bud and Jan. OK now it is enough "Thank You", I know that you all want to see the pictures from our trip: Guadeloupe, Pidgeon island, Dominica, Les Saintes and back to Guadeloupe. | |

The Tall Ships Nova Scotia Festival 2007 was a province-wide festival that included the hosting of ships in eight ports around the province, marketing and the administration of coordinating an international event. Funds are raised through government partners (1/3 of cost), corporate sponsors and the business community (1/3 of cost), and the general public, through ticket sales and merchandise purchases (1/3 of cost). The Tall Ships Nova Scotia Festival 2007 has made significant economic impact - from which all Nova Scotians will benefit.
It was the idea of Rob, to take the Rittal customers from the Maritimes out on his sailing boat to be as close to the tall ships as possible and see them from "a different angle". Not only the weather presented itself from its best, the customers and we had a lot of laughs and fun. Thank you Rob for hosting this special event.
